Our pain is great, but necessary.
You made my heart crumble,
and eyes stream rivers of deep sadness.
And I did the same to you.
Our condemnation and resentment
ate the core of our connectedness.
Yet, we still see love sprouting,
like a Yew, discovering a new plat for nourishment.
Our pain is great, but necessary.
My heart longs for a deeper love for you.
It longs to dance a fiery tango with your soul.
Our commitment and passion
stir the core of our connectedness.
Seeing a new layer of love to reach for –
one we could have never touched.
Like a star flickering in a distant galaxy,
hidden in the shadow of the moon.
